"'Migraine Memories' - A 48-year-old woman with breast cancer would suffer migraine annually on the anniversary of the death of her still-born daughter."
(The Creative Response, November 20, 2004)
"I appreciate that you wish to publish this patient's work on your migraine art website. The lady in question died from her cancer in 2000. This picture was made early in 1999. She gave permission for her work to be used for educational purposes. She worked with the Art Therapist at the Hospice Day Centre which she attended for 3 years before her death. As a result of this session - which she initially intended to miss (because of the migraine) - she was able to conduct a ceremony for her dead child and resolve this unspoken grief with her husband and children. She had no further migraine headaches."
