zymes of hardships in every ease
swing with the pendulum of everyday routine
a migraine aura woke me up today
and the pain of fatigue lulled me

overunderestimated strength of asthenia
soothing every molecule of my good will
behaving bad tonight as I approach your skin
with my catling and cruel intentions

it is so easy to confess my deadly sins
when I am drunk and you are deaf and dumb
when I am schizophrenic and forgiven
by the church and holy spirit of the void

About the artist

Andrei Khrapavitski (e-ndrus) is currently a graduate student at the School of Journalism in the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He got his BA in English (2001) at Polatsk State University, Belarus. Andrei worked as a deputy editor for an independent weekly "Free Hlybokaye" and as an editor at a youth newspaper "Conspect". He was also engaged in the nonprofit sector in Belarus working for resource centers "Sumiezza" and "Barmica" and was an elected representative in the Workgroup of The Assembly of Belarusian Nongovernmental Organizations in Minsk. Andrei has written poetry since early childhood. His poems appeared in magazines "Arche", "Land", "Young Moon" (Belarus); newspapers "Belarus" (USA), "Our Land", "Our Word". He became a contributor of several poetry books, published in Belarus.
