Iatrogenic stress
Vicious circle of stress, persistent aura, anxiety and depression (larger image see here). If the positive feedback loop in which the system responds to perturbation in the same direction as the perturbation runs out of control, it can result in the collapse of the system. "... speaking as someone who has had batteries of tests performed over a four year period (various types of MRI/various types of EEGs/various x-rays/various blood tests/various eye exams/and many other more specialised tests), I would say that there definitely comes a point when one should stop [see Sonnenberg, 2002]. I say this because these tests are not only hugely expensive in monetary terms, but they take their toll on your general well-being (constantly waiting for test results etc.)."

What an odd experience... never mind that my VS was peaking and other symptoms were acting up...

I thought I might be a little claustrophobic before, now I'm pretty sure... it took a whole lot of willl power to keep calm - it's nothing like a CT - lol!"
