"Sunglasses help a lot."
(Sofia Greene [subject #1], undated Email [2005])
"I usually wear, over my glasses, a pair of cutting glasses for burning metal. Big, dark green... yeah… I tell my wife they are babe magnets... as you can imagine, attractive attire; but we do what we have to, to get by and make it through the day. I have, for the last 9 days, been able to go without the cutting glasses....however the sparkles are brighter. I don't know if this is a coincidence, or what, but my eyes tire by midday. I put the cutting glasses on just to give my eyes a break. I'm quite sensitive to light (wow! Bet you didn't know that - ha ha)."

"However, I didn't realize until a few days ago how much difference putting on glasses makes in terms of reading lists containing bullet points and similar text symbols. I knew that wearing glasses would improve any palinopsia situation to a certain extent, but when I tested my reaction with and without glasses, the glasses seemed to filter out at least 85-90 % of the afterimages."

"With summer here I'm wearing my sunglasses more and more often (pretty much always) when outdoors (especially in TX and CA). Does anyone have any input on which types are best? I have asked the Lenscrafter's guys to soak my glasses for much longer to get them darker. I'm using 100 % UVA and UVB blocking glasses. The polarized glasses make my eyes feel a lot better as well."

"I often wear my sunglasses indoors."
(schimdog [subject #52], Email to Sofia Greene, April 7, 2006)
"I have tried, in fact I always wear sunglasses outside. It makes it easier, but it doesn't change the amount of vs, or changes anything to it on longterm."

"I think polarized sunglasses help a lot as do those blue blockers as blue brings out the micro flashes, think sky. My reading has adjusted, I think I read faster so I do not notice the letter vibration as much. Loved to read too and would hate to stop that."
