Looking through the window of a car

"Something odd I've experienced with VS: When I'm in a car and look out of the window (eyes 3-6 inches from the glass) for roughly 20 seconds, my VS strongly diminishes and there is a numbing sensation that I feel in the back of my eyes. After I turn my head away from the window, the VS returns and the numbing sensation disappears within a short time.

There was this one time, on the way to school, when I was staring out the window while it was extremely sunny outside and for 2 minutes after staring my VS was strongly diminished but the numbness was stronger than I have ever experienced."
