Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day usually prevents dehydration. As one of the symptoms of dehydration is headaches, this is probably a sensible practice for headache sufferers. Two subjects (#1, #136) with a diagnosis of persistent aura without infarction claimed that drinking adequate amounts of water to maintain proper hydration has helped improving the persistent visual symptoms.
