Symptoms

"For some reason, there is a definite improvement in my vision in terms of my ability to not see the visual snow, after-images, blood cells, etc., if I use a flashlight in a relatively dark to a completely dark room. I find that it is also much easier to read by using a flashlight on a book in a dark room. I wonder if for some reason, the brain is able to more correctly filter in flashlight conditions? I can see the visual snow and the blood cells if I concentrate on trying to see them even with a flashlight, but I can practically not see or really notice the visual snow when I use a flashlight in a dark environment.
A lot of times, if I try to read a standard black text on a white paper document in a brightly lit office environment, the after-images make it practically impossible. I will even really start to feel crappy and I know I am badly straining to read a document. The after-imaging makes it really, really difficult to read alot of the time. But, while there is still some visual snow when using a flashlight on these types of documents in dark environments, the after-images, for some reason are practically gone!!
This is bizarre, and one aspect of this condition worthy of study. At least for the visual snow and symptoms I have. This could be a good treatment for us. We just have to get used to using and holding flashlights all the time."
